Mama Mia! La Jolla First Friday Art Walk is Back May 3

The start of May is right around the corner, which means that there’s another La Jolla First Friday Art Walk on the calendar.

If you’re unfamiliar, the monthly event is a celebration of all things art and culture in downtown La Jolla. It also happens to be one of the best ways to experience the top 5 art galleries in La Jolla.

Each month during the event, local art galleries and businesses in the Village stay open later than usual, offer small bites and refreshments, and even host live music. In other words, it’s an amazing opportunity to sip, snack, and stroll through some of the best spots on a La Jolla art lover’s itinerary.

There’s a new theme each month, and for May 2024, the La Jolla First Friday Art Walk is themed “Mama Mia!” Each gallery and business is able to interpret the theme as they wish, so you’re bound to see a diversity of representations of that theme.

A variety of different businesses are taking part in the Art Walk, including:

  • Art in Framing
  • BFree Studio
  • Contemporary Fine Arts Gallery
  • Edna Pines Studio
  • Klara Chavarria Art Gallery
  • Krista Schumacher Art Gallery
  • L&G Projects
  • Legends Gallery

  • National Gallery of Fine Art
  • The Shop La Jolla
