Welcome to the Gaylord Pacific Hotel, the newest South Bay resort and convention center! Expected to be ready for the public in the summer of 2025, we’ve got progress to report on this exciting future addition to our list of the best ocean view hotels in San Diego.

This massive project is the result of about 10 years of planning between the City of Chula Vista, the Port of San Diego, and stakeholders. The Gaylord Pacific will be the centerpiece of a Chula Vista Bayfront Master Plan, a plan which will hopefully redevelop the waterfront in San Diego’s South Bay into a world-class destination that includes the resort and convention center, public parks, fine dining, shopping, and other recreational opportunities. The master plan also hopes to improve the natural habitat for wildlife.

The 22-story Gaylord Pacific Hotel will be located between H and G Streets in Chula Vista, to the west of Marina Parkway. The views will be stunning!
