Spirit Yoga to Host Puppy Yoga Class in Pacific Beach
Few things feel as good as a great yoga class — especially if that yoga class also comes with a side of puppy love.
Spirit Yoga & Barre in Pacific Beach will soon host a series of puppy yoga classes at their studio on Garnet Ave. The Mutts & Mats series focuses on helping participants build strength and flexibility, all with a side of puppy love.
The hour-long class includes 45 minutes of invigorating yoga and Pilates-inspired movements, including both strengthening moves and deep stretching postures. The last 15 minutes of the class comprises snuggling with some of the sweetest pups in San Diego.
Mutts & Mats is scheduled for this weekend from noon to 1 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 9. Each class costs $35, with proceeds benefiting a local puppy rescue — so you can feel doubly good about your movement.
The organizers of the puppy yoga class ask that participants arrive at least 15 minutes early. This is also a bring-your-own-mat event for those at least 7 years of age or older.
Additional puppy yoga classes will also take place throughout March at Spirit Yoga & Barre, including on Saturday, March 15 and Saturday, March 22.
