Only a nine-minute drive away from Cypress, The Gardens Casino may not be a place to take the kids, but it’s certainly close enough to sneak off to once the kids have been put to bed for the night! Located on the coast of Orange County, Seal Beach is one of California’s greatest surfing destinations. The beach is all-natural, and it can be found next to a charming small town. 19th-century architecture appears commonly around the area, and restaurants offer plenty of opportunities for outdoor dining. The waves of the beach are largest on the north side, where surfing lessons are also offered on-site. West of Cypress is the neighborhood of St. Isidore Plaza, a historic area with plenty of buildings constructed in the Mission Revival Style for individuals who appreciate a taste of historical architecture.
