Paradisaea Michelin Guide: La Jolla Restaurant Nabs Prestigious Honor
Paradisaea, a 1-year-old restaurant in Bird Rock, has been honored by the Michelin Guide as a new and interesting restaurant.
The La Jolla-based restaurant was one of a handful of new restaurants in California to be honored by the Michelin Guide. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Paradisaea ranks as one of 55 restaurants in the area that have been honored or recognized by the Michelin Guide.
Paradisaea serves up delicious California-inspired cuisine at its lush and tropical-themed restaurant in Bird Rock. Named after a species of birds on New Guinea, the owners of Paradisaea created the restaurant to be a blend of casual ambiance and elevated cuisine.
As far as what you’ll find on the menu, one of the dishes noted in the Paradisaea Michelin Guide listing is the coconut shrimp appetizer created by Mark Welker, the restaurant’s culinary director.
Paradisaea is not the only San Diego restaurant to be honored by the Michelin Guide in recent years. Other notable restaurants in the area that have Michelin recognition include Michelin Starred Valle in Oceanside and The Artifact restaurant at the Mingei Museum, which the Michelin Guide added to its California edition.
