Party with Mad Shells at Surf Lounge in Pacific Beach
Don’t miss the party of the summer celebrating the one-year anniversary of local, beach-inspired jewelry brand Mad Shells.
Mad Shells is a locally founded and woman-owned jewelry brand inspired by the coast. Each Mad Shells piece is ocean- and shower-safe, and handcrafted using eco-friendly practices and ethical sourcing. Additionally, the business also hosts curated events like one-of-a-kind jewelry-making classes.
On Saturday, Aug. 23, Mad Shells will celebrate one year of beachy jewelry and community empowerment with a party at Surf Lounge in Pacific Beach.
The Mad Shells party is free to attend, and will include vinyl record spinning by NobodyLikesRecords, beverages courtesy of local craft kombucha brand Juneshine, and a host of amazing surf-inspired vendors.
The party kicks off with a happy hour from 2:45 p.m. to 4 p.m., and there will also be an opportunity to make — and take home — your own custom seashell necklace at 4:15 p.m. No party would be complete without favors, and the anniversary celebration will include a raffle with the chance to win a special gift from Pilates Plus PB and Mad Shells itself.
Advanced registrations are not required for the happy hour at Surf Lounge, but are helpful. However, to participate in the necklace-making class, you’ll need to purchase tickets on the Mad Shells website. Tickets start at $55, and include all the tools and materials you need to make your own mermaid-inspired masterpiece.
