Sip & Savor: New Culinary Events at The Lodge at Torrey Pines

The Lodge at Torrey Pines presents another delicious season of epicurean events to delight the senses.

Playing with Fire, the exciting summer grilling series, is hosted at The Grill at Torrey Pines. Executive Chef Kelli Crosson and Chef de Cuisine Ryan Dzierzawski are joined by some of the hottest chefs in San Diego every month. 

Hosted on the spacious outdoor patio, each course is prepared in front of guests in the custom wood-burning chimney while diners relax and sip on pours from a featured brewery. A portion of the proceeds from each event are donated to a charitable organization chosen by the participating chef.  

The Playing with Fire dinner series kicks off on May 13 with guest chef Tim Kolanko (Urban Kitchen Group), followed by Greg Frey Jr. (Golden Door) on June 10, Drew Deckman (Deckman’s en el Mogor) on July 8, Marty Fay (Sandpiper Wood Fired Grill & Oysters) on August 12, Cameron Ingle (Marisi La Jolla) on September 9, and Carmine Lopez (Wolf in the Woods) wraps up the season on October 14.

The Lodge is also celebrating the return of the monthly Artisan Table Signature Wine Dinners, where guests can enjoy a taste of Napa Valley on the beautiful outdoor terrace at A.R. Valentien. Executive Chef Kelli Crosson curates a multi-course communal meal of seasonal bounty that perfectly pairs with the state’s most notable wines.

Each dinner features a special guest from the highlighted winery to share insight into their winemaking process. A.R. Valentien welcomes Crocker & Starr on May 16, Silver Oak and OVID Napa Valley on June 20, Far Niente on July 18, Hundred Acre on August 15, and Chappallett on September 19.
