Postino WineCafé: New Spot for Wine & Hors D’oeuvres Lands in San Diego
A new spot for wine and light appetizer items called Postino WineCafé has arrived in San Diego with locations across the city.
Postino WineCafé is an all-day restaurant and café known for a cult-like following. It’s known across several states for an extensive wine list and delicious bruschetta boards.
Although the company is based in Arizona, it recently opened two locations in San Diego — one in the city’s bustling culinary neighborhood of Little Italy and another in the coastal town of Del Mar, according to Eater San Diego.
As far as what you might find, the café is known for a welcoming attitude and chic spaces that embodies the company’s ethos of “drinking wine at lunch is not a crime.” To that end, Postino WineCafé is an amazing spot for both date nights or playing hooky from the office.
The menu changes seasonally, but along with the aforementioned bruschetta boards, the café also serves up other types of charcuterie boards, as well as appetizers like artichoke spread, vegetable trays, soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts.
Of course, you’re probably coming to the café to drink wine, and that’s okay. Postino features an expansive menu of wine hand-picked by master sommelier Brent Karlicek. The wine list applies to all of the café’s locations nationwide, and often changes based on the season, which will make the cafe one of the best places to taste wine in San Diego.
You’ll find 30 veritials available by the glass, including some wine that you won’t find anywhere else. Additionally, Postino WineCafé will also feature a hefty selection of beer, including locally brewed standouts from Stone Brewing, Pizza Port, Coronado Brewing Company, and more.
