So, if you’re looking for an event to help burn off that Thanksgiving feast, here are some of the best San Diego turkey trots this year.
- Encinitas Turkey Trot: This event, which takes place at South Coast Highway 101 and West D Street in Encinitas, kicks off at 7:30 a.m. It directly raises money for both the Veterans Association of North County and the local Boy Scout troop.
- O’Side Turkey Trot: A community centric event that ends at the beach in Oceanside, California. It kicks off at 6:45 a.m., with waves continuing to leave through 10:25 a.m. Proceeds benefit Rady Children’s Hospital.
- Fleet Feet Thanksgiving 5K: This event, which kicks off at the Fleet Feet store near Carmel Valley, raises funds for Molly’s Angels Foundation.
- Father Joe’s Villages Thanksgiving Day 5K: This event raises funds for food programs at Father Joe’s Villages, San Diego’s largest homeless services organization. It kicks off at 7:15 a.m. in Balboa Park.
