Surf Photographer Todd Glaser to Discuss ‘Kelly Slater: A life of Waves’ at Warwick’s
San Diego-born photographer and surfer Todd Glaser will discuss his new book, “Kelly Slater: A Life of Waves,” at the Warwick’s bookstore in La Jolla tomorrow.
Glaser served as the staff photographer for Surfer magazine for more than a decade, with more than a dozen cover photos snapped during his tenure. Additionally, his work has appeared in outlets such the New York Times, Sports Illustrated, Outside, Men’s Health, and GQ.
His latest book, “Kelly Slater: A Life of Waves,” features stunning images and photographs of 11-time world champion Kelly Slater — one of the greatest and most well-known surfers in the world.
The book itself celebrates fifteen years of Slater’s thrilling career. It features dozens of action shots of Slater snapped between 2008 and 2023, including some of the surfer’s most iconic sessions. Additionally, the book also features personal narration from Slater himself.
Although you can pick up a copy of Glaser’s new title at bookstores across San Diego, you can only interact with the author and hear first-hand discourse about the new book at Warwick’s in La Jolla.
The event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Although it is free to attend, you can purchase reserved seating — and a pre-ordered copy of the book — on the Warwick’s website. Only copies of “Kelly Slater: A Life of Waves” purchased at Warwick’s will be signed.
