

The Jewel Awards are facilitated by the La Jolla Historical Society, encouraging home and business owners to restore historical buildings and homes rather than replace them.
So much La Jolla history can be replaced by updates when that is not always necessary. So, the historical society created these awards to remedy unnecessary change. According to the historical society, the purpose of the awards is to maintain the “rich character and charm of La Jolla.”

If you wish to submit your project to be considered for the 2022 Jewel Awards, here is the downloadable application.
The deadline for applying is January 15, 2022, with the winners announced in March 2022.
