Culinary Season has Arrived at The Lodge at Torrey Pines

The Lodge at Torrey Pines is continuing its long-standing tradition of culinary excellence with two new epicurean events and a restaurant reopening.

In June, the Lodge at Torrey Pines will host two exceptional events for those seeking unique dining experiences: Artisan Table Signature Wine Dinners and Playing with Fire.

The first event is a series of special dinners that mix a communal meal carefully paired with some of California’s best wines. Each dinner begins with a reception, which is followed by a custom multi-course dinner skills prepared by Executive Chef Kelli Crosson specifically to enhance the wine pairings.

The lineup for the Artisan Table Signature Wine Dinners is as follows this year:

  • June 19, 6:00-9:00 p.m. – Hundred Acre Wines with special guest Dana Manison, Western Regional Manager
  • July 17, 6:00-9:00 p.m. – Far Niente Winery (Napa Valley) with special guest Bruce Mooers, President
  • August 21, 6:00-9:00 p.m. – Darioush Winery (Napa Valley) with special guest Roman Palumbo, National Sales Manager
  • September 18, 6:00-9:00 p.m. – Patrimony Wines (Paso Robles) with a special guest Eryn Schnitzler, Luxury Sales Manager

The Artisan Table Signature Wine Dinners will be hosted at A.R. Valentien, the signature restaurant at the Lodge at Torrey Pines. A.R. Valentien has recently reopened after a complete overhaul that included an enhanced kitchen, refreshed menus, and a renewed spirit of creativity.

Additionally, the Lodge at Torrey Pines will also be hosting the Playing with Fire Dinner Series. This event, scheduled to take place at the Grill at Torrey Pines, will see Chef Crosson and Chef de Cuisine Ryan Dzierzawski pair up with some of San Diego’s best culinary masterminds for interactive, outdoor grilling sessions.

On a series of dates throughout the summer, the two chefs will serve up delicious proteins, roasted seasonal vegetables, and amazing sides straight from the flames of The Grill’s signature outdoor cook station. Each dinner will also feature local craft brews for guests to enjoy.

Dates for the Playing with Fire event include June 9, July 14, August 11, and September 8. Guests include chefs from 24 Suns, George’s at the Cove, NINE-Ten, Kingfisher, and 31ThirtyOne. Rincon Brewery, Burgeon Beer Company, Coronado Brewing, and Latitude 33 are participating breweries.
