The Crack Shack Brings Delicious Chicken & More to Pacific Beach
The Crack Shack, a renowned local restaurant known for delicious chicken sandwiches and other fine delicacies, is opening a new outpost near La Jolla in Pacific Beach.
If you’re not familiar, The Crack Shack has been a local gem serving up fast casual chicken to hungry San Diegans since it was founded in Little Italy back in 2015. Along with the OG restaurant in Little Italy, there are currently four other Crack Shack locations in Encinitas, Costa Mesa, and Las Vegas.
Now, the local chain is planning on bringing The Crack Shack to Pacific Beach. The new location, which is expected to open in August, will be located near the iconic Crystal Pier — making it an easy drive from La Jolla.
Everything on the menu is freshly made and crafted using ingredients from local boutique farms or bakeries. For example, you’ll find perfectly cooked fried chicken, bowls and salads, and signature sandwiches such as:
- The Coop Deville, made with Jidori fried chicken breast, pickled Fresno chiles, pickles, lime mayo, Napa cabbage on a brioche roll
- The Firebird, which features a spicy fried Jidori chicken thigh, cool ranch, crispy onions, and pickles on a potato roll
- The Senor Croque, which packs a fried Jidori chicken breast on a brioche bun, and topped with bacon, a fried egg, cheddar, and miso-maple butter.
According to Eater San Diego, the Crack Shack in Pacific Beach will also feature lawn games and a huge TV and video wall. That’ll make it a great spot to hang out after hitting some of the best beaches in San Diego or just when you’re visiting Pacific Beach.
