Looking for Family Fun? Check Out the La Jolla Art & Wine Festival
The La Jolla Art & Wine Festival is coming this weekend, and it’s a perfect place to find fun for the whole family.
This year, the La Jolla Art & Wine Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29 in downtown La Jolla. Along with featuring more than 160 artists and dozens of wineries, breweries, and distilleries, the festival is also an amazing place for family-friendly activities.
The Geppetto’s Toys Family Art Center will bring a plethora of free and family friendly activities to the festival, including art workshops, face painting, interactive robotics displays, and more.
The activities are being provided in partnership with a range of different local organizations, including The Living Coast Discovery Center, Seaside Arts Center, and Science Guys of San Diego.
Here’s just a same sampling of events:
- Ballet and dance with The Rosin Box Project
- Prize drawings and giveaways presented by Geppetto’s Toys
- Robotics with La Jolla Youth Robotics
- Beaded bracelet creation workshops with Dragonfly Designs
- Gymnastics, Aerial Acrobatics & Parkour with Momentum Acrobatics
- Decorating biodegradable pots, getting native seed, and meeting an animal ambassador with The Living Coast Discovery Center
- Visual arts activity and live street performances throughout the day with Seaside Arts Center
The festival is also committed to giving back, with a portion of all proceeds going toward supporting local students and teachers through the San Diego Unified School District.
