Spooky Halloween Pop-Up Bar Black Lagoon Landing in San Diego
Black Lagoon, a group that sets up Halloween pop-up bars across the U.S., is coming to San Diego this spooky season.
Black Lagoon is the brainchild of Chicago barwoman Erin Hayes and bartender/sommelier Kelsey Ramage. The pop-up will take over Seven Grand Whiskey Bar in San Diego’s up and coming North Park neighborhood.
“Black Lagoon is an immersive, creepy-as-hell cocktail experience that pays homage to the macabre and throws in a splash of goth and metal for good measure,” the company’s website reads.
From Oct. 13 to Nov. 13, expect a deliciously spooky environment. Although a full bar and cocktail menu is still in the works, you should expect terrifyingly delicious drinks. For example, a few cocktails that debuted last year include the Night Crawler, the Book of Blood, and the Death Rattle.
The idea for Black Lagoon came from a successful pop-up bar at a legendary dive bar in New Orleans. Ever since then, the enterprise has been hosting creepy cocktail experiences all across North America.
In other words, even though it’s currently August, it’s never too early to start planning ahead for spooky season. In addition to the Black Lagoon pop-up, make sure to check out our guide to the best Halloween parties in San Diego.
