First Friday Art Walk Returns to La Jolla in August 2023
We’re nearly eight months into the year and August is rapidly approaching, which means that a new First Friday Art Walk will soon be upon us.
The First Friday Art Walk is a monthly celebration of art that takes place in downtown La Jolla. During it, patrons can sip, stroll, and snack through some of the finest art galleries in San Diego while enjoying that La Jolla coastal breeze and free entertainment.
Every month, the First Friday Art Walk comes with a new theme — and in August, the theme is Oceans. That’s appropriate, given La Jolla Cove’s location on the Pacific Coast.
Before you think you’ll just see generic ocean paintings, know that each artist and gallery participating in First Friday Art Walk gets to interpret the theme any way they want. That means you’re bound to see a variety of creative ideas.
Here are some of the galleries participating in this month’s First Friday Art Walk in La Jolla.
