No Comic-Con Badge? No Problem With These Free Events
It’s officially Comic-Con season in San Diego, and even if you have no Comic-Con badge, there are still plenty of fun things you can do — often for free.
Comic-Con is an iconic piece of San Diego’s cultural fabric, and it takes place in downtown San Diego near Seaport Village and Petco Park. Here’s a quick list of fun things you can do while Comic-Con is no town with no badge.
- Adult Swim Festival on the Green: From Thursday, July 25 through Sunday, July 28, you’ll find a plethora of activities from lawn games to exclusive giveaways on the 5th Avenue Landing.
- Petco Park Interactive Zone: This event has a dizzying number of experiences available to Comic-Con goers with no badge. From branded food trucks to special pop culture activities like costume tours and creation stations, you can get your pop culture fix here.
- The Bear pop-up: If you’ve ever wanted to step inside the hit FX show “The Bear,” there will be a pop-up that includes merch giveaways inside a recreation of the eponymous restaurant.
- IMDBoat: Thanks to the team behind IMDb, there will be a slew of different celebrity sightings, experiences, and other activities at the port near the San Diego Convention Center from Thursday, July 25 through Saturday, July 27.
- Sonic Cafe: The Sonic the Hedgehog Cafe is back in 2024, allowing guests a taste of what it’s like to dine in the world of SEGA.
