Padres looking to 7-game homestand to improve Wild Card hopes before the MLB All Star Break
The reeling San Diego Padres host the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Toronto Blue Jays this week at Petco Park after winning only two of their last 10 games. The club is currently 4 games back of a playoff Wild Card berth.
Closer Mason Miller will represent the Padres at the Midsummer Classic in Atlanta on July 14.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop Kitchen opening this Fall at UC San Diego
UC San Diego’s new Triton Center will add celebrity Gwyneth Paltrow’s health-conscious restaurant chain Goop Kitchen to its impressive and expanding restaurant lineup.
Goop offers “deliciousness, bold flavors and wellness,” according to Paltrow. The gluten-free menu includes soups, salads, pasta, and organic chicken.

La Jolla Music Society hosts the 40th Summerfaire
The La Jolla Music Society will host the majority of 21 concerts and more than 50 community events at the Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center in downtown La Jolla from July 31 through Aug. 29.
The 40th edition of Summerfaire features over 100 world-class musicians from around the globe, including 16 Grammy Award-winning artists.
