Switchfoot Bro-Am 2026: San Diego’s Biggest Beach Party That Gives Back
The annual Switchfoot Bro-Am is back for 2026, bringing good vibes, live music, surf contests, and more to one of the best beaches in Encinitas.
For the uninitiated, the Bro-Am is an annual surfing and music festival initially founded by local alternative rock band Switchfoot. Each year, the event draws thousands of attendees for a day filled with music, surfing, and community.
As they do every year, Switchfoot will headline the music festival. In 2026, they’ll be supported by special guests and local supporting bands like Angel White, Gable Price and Friends, and the winner of the 91X “Battle for the Bro-Am” local band competition.
From 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will also be a variety of surf events and competitions, including everything from pro athletes shredding the waves to crowd favorite contests like Surf Joust. Music will kick off at noon and run through 5 p.m.
Additionally, the 22nd annual Switchfoot Bro-Am 2026 will also feature a vibrant marketplace of local vendors, a plethora of different food and beverage options, and a variety of green initiatives and brand activations.
The best part is the fact that the Bro-Am completely free to attend and is open to all ages, making it a great time to soak up classic San Diego vibes with the entire family. Additional VIP passes and music pit tickets are available at an extra cost.
Lastly, but certainly not least, the festival also directly supports a variety of local nonprofit organizations working with underserved youths or other populations.
