This is the Most Expensive Home Sold in San Diego County
As of the writing of this article, there were no images for the home on Zillow or Realtor.com. That’s likely because the home was never officially placed on the market.
A new home sale in Del Mar has taken the top spot as the most expensive home ever sold in San Diego County.
The sale of the beachfront property, located at 2940 Sandy Lane in Del Mar, clocked in at $44.1 million, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Previously, the home was owned by Hollywood real estate developer C.E. Toberman. The sale was a private and off-market one, so the buyer of the most expensive home ever sold in San Diego County is currently a mystery.
According to the Union-Tribune, the home ranks as the most expensive sold in a single sale through the county. It knocks the beachfront Del Mar property owned by Bill Gates to second place.
San Diego County Assessor Jordan Marks told the Union-Tribune that the home is one of the “largest beachfront parcels in California” and is located right next to “one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in America.”
As far as the property itself, the home lies on about an acre of land right on the beach in Del Mar. It includes a guest house, beach house, a detached apartment, a tennis court, and a swimming pool. Altogether, it also has eight bedrooms and 7 and a half bathrooms.
However, the Del Mar home is not the most expensive listing in San Diego. That honor would be the $100 million ranch for sale in San Diego that’s located just minutes from the beach in Rancho Santa Fe.
Although the current buyer of the most expensive home ever sold in San Diego County is a mystery, there are still plenty of famous celebrities who live in San Diego that we know of.
