Meet Leila: An Luxurious & Immersive Restaurant in North Park

CH Projects will officially open its latest venture, an immersive Middle Eastern restaurant in North Park dubbed Leila, this week.

Those familiar with CH Projects will know that the restaurant group doesn’t take half measures when it comes to the design and details of its dining experiences. Leila, which is slated to open on Wednesday, July 31, won’t be an exception, according to Eater San Diego.

The Leila restaurant will feature a ceiling that mimics stars in an environment meant to evoke an eternal Middle Eastern night. Tables will be tucked in amongst Moroccan decor and interior waterfalls that will provide a calm and luxurious atmosphere.

Speaking of which, Leila will serve up a delectable plethora of Tafazoli’s favorite dishes, including a crispy saffron-infused rice dish called tahdig and grilled ground meat skewers dubbed koobideh. Dishes will be cooked in an open kitchen that includes a fire pit, a clay wood-fired oven, and a tandoor open.

The kitchen at Leila is being headed up by restaurant veterans, including executive chef Wesley Remington Johnson. Given that CH Projects is known for some of the best restaurants in San Diego, you won’t have to wonder at the deliciousness of the food.

Other standout reasons to eat at Leila include a welcome tea service and a selection of incredible Middle Eastern wine, as well as a delicious cocktail menu.

Although it’s a restaurant, Leila is truly meant to be a multi-sensory dining experience that immerses guests into the vibe and ambiance of the Middle East. That will make it an exceptional choice as one of the best date night ideas in San Diego.
