Purpose First Beach Cleanup: Doing Good While Having Fun in PB
If you want an event that mixes social connection and community-centered volunteering, then the Purpose First Beach Cleanup will be perfect for you.
Each month, the Purpose First Beach Cleanup meets in Pacific Beach to connect, clean, and party. The next date will be Saturday, Aug. 2 from 2:45 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The event will include an opportunity to meet and mingle with other heart-centered volunteers, practice yoga on the beach, and listen to live music from local musicians. There will also be breathwork practices and other social or wellness activities available.
Of course, the Purpose First Beach Cleanup is also all about giving back to the community and ensuring that San Diego beaches remain as pristine as possible. To that end, the organizers of the event will provide gloves, bags, and other tools to facilitate cleaning the beach.
Although each event is slightly different, past cleanups have also included free raffles, group photo opportunities, bonfires, and happy hours.
The cleanup event occurs every first Saturday of the month in front of the Waterbar in Pacific Beach. The event is completely free to attend, but if you’d like more information, then you can check out the details at this link.
