Explore Great San Diego Restaurants at the Taste of Gaslamp
The Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego is home to some of the city’s best restaurants, and the Taste of Gaslamp is one way to try many of them.
The Taste of Gaslamp is an annual self-guided food tour that allows guests to sample small bites from some of the best restaurants in San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter. This year, the event is scheduled for this Saturday, Sept. 14.
The tour will include samples from more than 20 restaurants spread across 16 square city blocks. Some restaurants on the list include:
- Whiskey Girl
- American Junkie
- Royal India
- Madam Bonnie’s
- Havana
- The Field
- Landshark Bar & Grill
- Cerveza Jack’s
- Baja Rick’s
Some of the dishes served during Taste of Gaslamp will range from 16-hour, slow-smoked brisket to mini Wagyu meatballs and Margherita pizza. You can also expect dessert options, such as gelato and caramel apple bread pudding.
Along with the actual tour, there is also a pre-party from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Happy Does. Guests will be able to pick up their tasting program and map while enjoying cocktails or small bites at the indoor/outdoor restaurant.
Additionally, from 4 p.m. through 7 p.m., there is an official After Party at Swing Social. Attendees will be able to keep their culinary journey going with a free drink and additional bite, along with free plays on Swing Social’s gaming simulators. Tickets to the after-party are free, but must be picked up at the pre-party.
Tickets to the Taste of Gaslamp event start at $45 when purchased in advance, or $55 on the day of the tour. They’re available on the Gaslamp Quarter’s official website.
