Drift Into Island Time at the 26th Annual Sunset Luaus on the Bay in San Diego

Experience the authentic tastes and tropical vibes of Hawaii, right on the shores of San Diego, at the 26th annual Sunset Luaus on the Bay this summer.

Sunset Luaus on the Bay are a fun, family-friendly event taking place at the Catamaran Resort in San Diego. The tropical beachfront ambiance mixes with the soothing sounds of Hawaiian music and San Diego’s gorgeous weather for an authentic Polynesian-inspired experience.

Each Luau features a delicious all-you-can-eat Hawaiian buffet and a spectacular show by Pride of Polynesia that will include hula dancers, fire torch performers, and other live island vibe entertainment. All guests will receive a silk lei, a signature Mai Tai beverage, and an activity bag for the kids.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a luau without a feast. When the ceremonial conch shell announces dinnertime, guests will be treated to a parade presentation of the Luaus on the Bay centerpiece: the Kalua roast pig. Alongside the traditional Hawaiian dish, there will be an impressive spread, including macadamia nut-crusted Mahi Mahi, Huli-Huli chicken, watermelon poke, pineapple fried rice, traditional Polynesian desserts, and even Hawaiian pizza.

The events run all summer long on Thursday evenings through Sept. 3. While the luaus themselves are scheduled for 6 p.m. through 9 p.m., guests can choose to arrive by 3 p.m. for hula lessons and fresh flower lei making workshops.

Tickets to the Sunset Luaus on the Bay start at $115 for adults and $65 for children, and include the buffet, performances, and more. For information or to RSVP, visit this link.
